Automated Check In
The automated check-in system has both a keypad and finger reader in front of the monitor as you enter the office. The computerized system informs us in the treatment area that you are here and waiting. It also displays why you are here, so that we can be prepared for your visit. With this system, we are able to check:
- How long our patients are in the waiting area
- How long specific procedures take to perform so we can plan our schedule most efficiently
- Documentation of the each visit
Waiting Area
The waiting room was designed by Dr. Eberle to be roomy and light. We have interesting magazines and books that Dr. Eberle constantly updates so that over the period you spend with us, you might find some of the books to be educational and interesting to you and your children. In addition to these materials, we have provided educational materials on orthodontics.
There are Sony PlayStation Portable games distributed throughout the office, an HD Sony X-Box 360 game system, and an internet cafe where you can sip on a cup of Flavia coffee while checking your e-mail.
And parents, you do not have to stay in the waiting room! If you prefer to come back with your child during visits, you are welcomed and encouraged to come back to the clinic. We have seating available if you wish to see what is going on during treatment, or you can relax and enjoy your cup of coffee and a DVD on the flat-screen television.
Clinic Area
The clinic is an “open bay” concept. The open bay provides a warmer atmosphere and children enjoy looking around and seeing other friends in treatment. We have music, conversation, and fun. With our effort to maintain a clean environment, each chair is covered with a disposable plastic cover which is rotated out after each patient visit. The computer next to each chair is part of our office wide information management system. On the monitor next to each chair, we can display your entire chart, radiographs, photographs, treatment plan, and any other piece of information needed at the time of you or your child’s visit.

Sterilization
Dr. Eberle feels strongly about infection control and equipped the office as such – for your peace of mind and safety. In our office, all instruments are autoclaved. The system consists of individual stainless steel orthodontic cassettes, which compartmentalize instruments beginning with the sterilization process directly to your chair where they are unwrapped in front of you. Instruments are therefore self-contained all the way through the sterilization process, consisting of ultra-sonic treatment for cleaning of the instruments of any debris which might be adhering to the instruments, followed by a water rinse, and then into autoclave for sterilization. You cannot find a more high-tech, sterile delivery system than this!
A constant sterilization monitoring system is in place. This consists of heat sensitive tape to insure that the proper temperatures in the autoclave are reached every time and maintained for the appropriate amount of time to insure sterility. In addition, spore strips are also used in every sterilization cycle and sent to an outside service for evaluation as further insurance that we are indeed providing the cleanest environment possible.
